Opps I forgot to post this earlier in the week…. Oh well
here it is!
So I finished my 10K and it felt awesome! Official time was
1:05:30, which is pretty awesome for me! It was pretty chilly out and with the
wind I think it was about 25 degrees, but it was worth it! The course wasn’t my
favorite as it is a 5K course and you just keep looping until you reach your
race distance (5K, 10K or 15K). It is hard to see the finish line but know that
you have 1 or 2 more laps to run! Very mentally challenging…but I
survived. The medal is pretty cool…..
I am hoping that we get a different one for the 2nd
part of the series, which is April 12th. I will be doing the 15K! Hopefully
it won’t be too hard since I will have been on vacation in Puerto Rico for
basically the whole week before it. I am so unbelievably excited to go to
Puerto Rico… just bad timing as I probably won’t get much training done while I
am there and I definitely need to! Oh well… the half marathon isn’t until May 2nd,
which really is the end goal of all this training I’ve been doing!
I also just signed up for another half marathon on November
8th in Wilmington, NC! My best friend from college lives there so it
will be a perfect opportunity to go see her and run a half marathon together!!
My mom is also going as she is an avid runner too! (Now you know where I get
it!) Should be a really good time, as it is usually about 70 degrees down there
in November!
Then the next weekend (November 15th) my mom and
I are doing the Columbus Hot Chocolate 15K! We are race junkies, haha. I’ve
been thinking about making it my goal to run a race (maybe even a half
marathon) in every state! It would be a fun goal and I would get to travel a
lot! J
Which I love doing!
